In consideration of rapid growth in the field, we believe that E-health organizations should immediately begin addressing a range of issues -- in some cases self-regulating various activities -- while in others working closely with private sector and/or government organizations toward enabling policies and programs that will help further drive (rather than impede) health care applications on the net.
An immediate task is to identify critical issues facing the field; formulate clear policy papers and specifications to serve as the basis for legislative, regulatory and private sector policy recommendations -- and then build a coalition of interests to pursue effective yet rationale recommendations.
